DESCRIPTION

# C-951  -  (California) Bighorn Sheep  -  full shoulder headmount-october fur-left turn upright pose-36.3” x 36.4” horns with 15.4” x 15.7 bases-17” tip to tip wide spread-20” greatest width-both horns come up to within an inch of the top of the nose bridge-
horns now score 177 4/8 points at this time-these horns scored 186 when harvested by my friend in the 1950’s and have not shrunk even 1/8” in the past 24 years since I have owned them-
ram horns usually shrink about 2 to 3 points in the first 60 days and then often shrink an additional 5 to 8 points over the next ten or more years-
so without question these horns were Boone and Crockett after the 60 day drying period when they were harvested, as these horns are over 65 years old-
there has only ever been 7 California bighorn rams harvested in British Columbia scoring over 180 points, and even at its current score this ram would place #10 in the BC record book-
this is a brand new fresh mount with a beautiful dark cape-excellent outstanding taxidermy workmanship-this is an absolutely outstanding California bighorn ram
